Background The contract is issued by the Watervliet Arsenal and pertains to the maintenance of the Phi Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (TOFSIMS) system utilized at Benet Laboratories. This system is essential for high-resolution chemical imaging and supports advanced work in material development, coatings, composites, and material failure analysis. The goal of this contract is to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of the spectrometer through periodic maintenance. Work Details The contractor is required to provide annual maintenance, support, repair, and software updates for the Phi Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer and its associated components. Specific tasks include: 1. Performing two preventive maintenance (PM) visits per year. 2. Calibrating the equipment to factory specifications. 3. Supplying OEM replacement parts as available. 4. Providing travel, labor, materials, repairs, support, and necessary software updates (not upgrades). 5. Maintenance services must cover all sub-components of the NanoTOF 3 system including ion guns, detectors, pumps, controllers, cameras, ion optics, I/O systems, computer controls, stages, power supplies, gas supplies, valves, chillers and coolers. 6. The contractor must also provide consumable items necessary for repairs or preventative maintenance but is not responsible for consumables not required for a repair. 7. Technical support must be available via phone or email and on-site visits for emergency service and troubleshooting are required. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at Benet Laboratories.
