Background The Fermi Forward Discovery Group (FFDG) is seeking Natural Gas Valve Bi-Annual Exercising Services at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) located in Batavia, IL. The mission of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and operation of natural gas underground valves, which is critical for safety and operational efficiency. Work Details The Subcontractor shall perform Natural Gas Valve Bi-Annual Grease and Exercising Services to 130 underground valves and maintain natural gas underground valves as needed. This work shall be completed every six months and shall include all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, safety compliance, and coordination required as per the Statement of Work (SOW). Specific tasks include: 1) Exercise and grease 130 underground steel valves in valve boxes, ensuring all Bi-Annual Maintenance is completed within 10 consecutive business days. 2) Paint valve covers and label valve boxes as necessary. 3) Reporting any non-functioning valves or maintenance needs to the FFDG SC, including a detailed list by valve that includes date and time of exercise, position of valve at end of exercise, and amount of grease added. This report must be submitted one week after Bi-Annual Maintenance completion. 4) Schedule all Bi-Annual Maintenance with the FFDG SC, including any outages. 5) Submit all materials for approval to the SC prior to use.
