Background The Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) is seeking to construct a new multipurpose facility to support its ecological services. This project is part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's (FWS) mission to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. The goal of this contract is to provide a facility that meets the operational needs of the refuge while promoting ecological stewardship. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the construction of a new multipurpose facility, which includes: - Base Building Construction for the Multipurpose Facility. - Additive #1: Resurfacing of the parking area associated with the multipurpose facility. - Additive #2: Installation of a photovoltaic (PV) system on the south roof of the facility. - Additive #3: Installation of a PV system on the north roof of the facility. - Additive #4: Provision and installation of furniture for maintenance purposes. Period of Performance The contract will commence on June 1, 2026, and is expected to be completed by November 30, 2027. Place of Performance The construction projects will take place at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.
