Background The County of Charleston is seeking to establish an Indefinite Delivery Contract for Engineering Services related to projects under the Charleston County Transportation Committee (CTC). This contract aims to provide engineering services on an as-needed basis, ensuring that the County can efficiently address various transportation-related projects. The goal is to enhance infrastructure and improve transportation systems within Charleston County. Work Details The services to be provided under this contract include, but are not limited to: 1. Surveying: Conduct field surveys, topographical surveys, and delineate critical lines and wetlands boundaries. Identify Grand Trees and prepare easement plats. 2. Permits: Determine required permits, prepare necessary documents, and obtain local, state, and federal permits. 3. Drainage: Research existing drainage systems, prepare preliminary designs, and finalize plans. 4. Roadways/Sidewalks/Trails: Research existing conditions and prepare plans for roadway alignments, drainage facilities, and right-of-way requirements. 5. Construction Plans and Specifications: Develop detailed construction plans adhering to SCDOT guidelines, including cover sheets, typical sections, construction details, materials required for construction, plan/profile sheets showing existing features overlaid with proposed features, cross-section sheets with earthwork calculations, and detailed project cost estimates. Period of Performance The contract will be effective for a period of two years from the date of execution. New projects may not be assigned after this period has elapsed. Place of Performance The services will be performed within Charleston County, South Carolina. Bidder Requirements Offerors must have adequate professional staff capable of performing the required services. They must also comply with all applicable licensing regulations in South Carolina. The use of SCDOT certified DBE firms is encouraged. Offerors are required to submit a notarized affidavit of non-collusion with their qualifications.
