The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources for a service requirement for a base contract plus four option years of a firm fixed price contract coming up for our Walla Walla District for shredding services that will destroy documents and other non-paper media to render PII in Walla Walla, WA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is anticipated to be 561990 (Document Shredding Services) and the associated small business size standard is $16,500,000.00 dollar amount. This source sought announcement is a tool to identify businesses with the capability to accomplish the work. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement. Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources for a service requirement for shredding services that will destroy documents and other non-paper media to render Protected Personal Information (PPI) unrecognizable. This contract includes a base period plus four option years. The goal of the contract is to ensure compliance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and to protect sensitive information. Work Details The contractor will provide lockable containers suitable for containing PPI documents for shredding and maintain these containers in good working condition. Six 64-gallon containers are required at the Walla Walla District office. The contractor will pick up and shred contents of these containers twice per month, with additional pickups as requested by the Government representative. All recyclable pulp material and non-recyclable materials collected will be disposed of at an authorized disposal site in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. The contractor must also ensure that all shredded material, debris from shredding, and applicable taxes are included in the cost of service.
