Background The contract is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades project, which aims to enhance the technological infrastructure of various facilities. The goal is to ensure that the buildings are equipped with modern IT capabilities, including improved fiber optics and data center facilities, to support the agency's mission of providing quality healthcare services. Work Details The contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures. The project scope includes: - Upgrading facility fiber throughout the buildings to each IT closet; - Providing redundant fiber runs throughout the facility; - Providing redundant fiber mains to the demarcation room from the provider point; - Providing Cat 6A cabling from IT closets to all points of use; - Installation of additional IT outlets and electrical outlets throughout the facility; - Providing additional outlets in each IT closet; - Upgrading facility power distribution including UPS; - Upgrading facility HVAC distribution; - Upgrades to physical security; - Abatement of hazardous materials; - New construction of a Data Center server room. The work will be performed at Syracuse Buildings 1, 2, 16, and the Rome Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). Period of Performance The contractor shall complete the entire project no later than 730 calendar days after receiving the NOTICE TO PROCEED.
