Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the Northern Indiana Health Care System (NIHCS) Fort Wayne Campus. The mission of the VA is to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and testing of emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), and load banks to ensure operational readiness in case of emergencies. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all trained labor, supervision, management support, transportation, supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to accomplish a complete Annual Emergency Generator, Annual Load Bank, and Annual Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) Preventive Maintenance and Testing. This work will be performed twice a year at six-month intervals. The specific tasks include: 1. Conducting preventive maintenance on emergency generators; 2. Performing load bank testing; 3. Testing and maintaining Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS); 4. Providing emergency service as needed. Period of Performance The contract will have a period of performance of 365 calendar days from the contractor's receipt of the Notice to Proceed, with four possible option years for the entire project scope. Place of Performance All required work will be performed at the Fort Wayne Northern Indiana Health Care System Campus located at 2121 Lake Avenue Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
