Background The City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, is seeking competitive sealed bids for the procurement of Grass Seed and Other Turf Items as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance public parks and recreational areas. The goal of this contract is to secure a reliable vendor who can provide high-quality materials that meet the city's specifications. Work Details The contract involves providing various types of grass seed and turf items as specified in the attached Specifications/Price Sheet (Exhibit A). The contract is intended to be an indefinite quantity and indefinite delivery contract based on the city's needs. Vendors are required to deliver materials in specific quantities and configurations as agreed upon in written orders. All materials must be new unless otherwise specified, and any substitutions must be approved by the city prior to the bid deadline. Period of Performance The initial term of the contract will last for one year from the date it is fully executed by the city, with options for up to four successive one-year renewal terms, contingent upon availability and appropriation of funds. Place of Performance The materials will be delivered to various locations within the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, as specified in individual purchase orders. Bidder Requirements Bidders must possess all necessary licenses and registrations required by law, including valid registration with the Missouri Secretary of State and a current City Business License. Bidders are also required to submit proof of insurance naming the City as an additional insured. The city reserves the right to reject any bid that does not comply with these requirements.
