Background The contract is issued by the Air Force, specifically for the installation and removal of a pallet rack shelving system in an existing warehouse located in building 216. The goal of this contract is to enhance the safety and productivity of the warehouse environment through proper installation and maintenance of shelving units. Work Details The contractor is responsible for the installation of a robust pallet rack shelving system, which includes securely anchoring the shelving to the floor, removal and disposal of outdated shelving, and providing continuous support and maintenance. The shelving unit will be heavy-duty with a weight capacity of 7,000 pounds. The equipment includes: - Heavy-duty pallet rack 12Q8 x 144 with add-on units - Installation kit for rack protectors and pallet racks - Heavy-duty Rack Wire Decking - 58" Wide, 42" Deep. Installation will occur at Logistics Readiness (LRS) Bldg. 216, with access provided by the government for 8 hours per day. Period of Performance Set-up shall be completed within 1 week of beginning work on-site. Place of Performance The contract performance will occur at the 20 Logistics Readiness Squadron.
