The contract will encompass both state-level and School Food Authority (SFA)-level activities that are required to be conducted annually throughout the contract term. Work Details The selected vendor will provide comprehensive school food services as part of the MPA 421. This includes but is not limited to: meal planning, food preparation, delivery, and compliance with nutritional standards set forth by state and federal regulations. The vendor must ensure that all services are performed in accordance with the guidelines established by the Rhode Island Department of Education and must participate in annual evaluations to assess program effectiveness. Period of Performance The initial contract period will commence on July 1, 2026, for one year, with options for renewal for up to four additional one-year periods based on performance and funding availability. Place of Performance Services will be provided across various locations within the State of Rhode Island as designated by participating schools and School Food Authorities. Bidder Requirements Vendors must register in Ocean State Procures™ to submit proposals. They are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including maintaining necessary licenses throughout the contract duration. Insurance requirements include liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence, workers' compensation, automobile liability, and other specified coverages. Vendors must also submit a Minority Business Enterprise Participation Acknowledgment Form as part of their proposal.
