Please be advised that this opportunity is only open to Contractors on INDEFINITE DELIVERY/ INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ), MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT (MACC) FOR DESIGN-BUILD (DB)/ DESIGN-BID-BUILD (DBB) WATERFRONT CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, HAMPTON ROADS AREA OF OPERATIONS, VIRGINIA ML-C00082 (Contract Nos. N4008524D2503 - N4008524D2507) NOTICE REGARDING TIMELY DEFINITIZATION OF EQUITABLE ADJUSTEMENT FOR CHANGE ORDERS UNDER CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS. There are no agency-specific policies and procedures that apply to the definitization of equitable adjustments for change orders under construction contracts. In accordance with DFARS PGI 205.205(h)(i), current data regarding the timely definitization of equitable adjustments for change orders under construction contracts awarded by the Department of the Navy is available as of the date of this solicitation.
Background The contract is issued by the Department of the Navy for the installation of an L-Shaped Floating Dock at Pier 49, located at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek/Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The goal of this contract is to provide a complete and usable floating dock system that meets the operational needs of the base while adhering to all applicable regulations and standards. Work Details The contractor shall provide supervision, labor, material, and equipment required to perform the following tasks: 1. Modify tops of pilings and relocate the throw ring for walkway space. 2. Install a floating dock section measuring approximately 12-feet wide by 105-feet long along Intercove Road and an 8-feet wide by 56-feet long section along the pier, anchored with stainless steel hardware. 3. Construct two walkways (4-feet wide by 30-feet long) with handrails from curb level to the floating dock, including rollers for adjustment. 4. Install a permanent accessibility ramp (4-feet wide by 6-feet long) made of aluminum capable of supporting 800-pound loads with specified handrail requirements. 5. Provide rubber bumper cushions and cleats every 6 feet as indicated in drawings. 6. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes as well as environmental regulations regarding stormwater management and hazardous materials. 7. Maintain daily site clean-up during construction and dispose of all demolished materials off-base according to regulations. Period of Performance The project completion date is set for 180 calendar days from the award of this Task Order.
