W912EE This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation Number W912EE26QA006 is being issued as a request for quote (RFQ) with the intent to issue one Firm-Fixed Price Contract. This solicitation is being issued under a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 336611 Ship Building and Repairing with a size standard of 1300 employees. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with regulations at FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Revetment Branch of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, has a requirement for the modification of thirty-four (34) mat barges that are used in the transporting of articulated concrete mattress (ACM). The requirements of the job are listed in the scope of work. All Offerors shall submit a quote with content as specified herein. Quotes submitted without the specified content may be determined unsuccessful and removed from further consideration. Offers for less than the required delivery will not be accepted. The Government intends to award without discussions while reserving the right to hold discussions if determined advantageous to the Government. Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, is issuing Solicitation Number W912EE26QA006 for the modification of thirty-four (34) mat barges used in transporting articulated concrete mattress (ACM). This procurement is part of their mission to maintain and enhance the nation's waterways and infrastructure. The contract will be awarded as a Firm-Fixed Price Contract under a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for modifying thirty-four (34) mat barges by removing existing C-channel runners on the deck and replacing them with 6" x 14" runs of rectangle tubing. Each barge measures 160' long x 34' wide x 9.5' tall.
