Background The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking bids to furnish and deliver a backup generator with related component accessories. The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable power supply for critical infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency and safety. Work Details The contractor will provide a backup generator system, which includes the following components and services: 1. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS): - Must be from manufacturers such as ASCO, ABB, or Eaton. - Rated at 208/120V, three-phase, 400A, with a withstand current rating of 22,000A. - Features include indicating lights for source availability, test switches, auxiliary contacts, and monitoring systems for normal and alternate sources. 2. Diesel Generator Set: - Capacity of 80 kW (100 kVA standby). - Includes exhaust silencer, fuel tank, remote control panels, battery, and charger. 3. Manufacturer Field Services: - Check connections and operations before placing the system in service. 4. Demonstration and Training: - Provide training on operation in both normal and emergency modes. Period of Performance The estimated period of performance is from March 30, 2026, to June 30, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at locations designated by the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a state vendor number to submit an offer. The manufacturer of the generator must have a minimum of three years’ experience in manufacturing similar products and be ISO9001 certified.
