Background The contract is issued by the NS Mayport, Florida, with the objective of ensuring the operational readiness and maintenance of a Message Board Trailer and a K9 Hauler Trailer. The contractor's mission is to provide preventative maintenance and repair services to support military operations, ensuring that these critical pieces of equipment remain functional and safe for use. Work Details The Contractor shall perform preventative maintenance/repair on one Message Board (Trailer) and one K9 Hauler S8 (Trailer) per quarter (four times per year). This includes unlimited technical support via email or telephone, and a detailed report of inspections. Required repairs and parts are included in the fixed price of the preventative maintenance. The Contractor must respond to all emergency service calls within 72 hours. During each quarterly maintenance check, the following tasks must be completed: For the Message Board Trailer (K and K Systems; Model: MB8249WT): - Replace batteries and repair solar charging system as needed. - Perform battery maintenance/service/inspection. - Conduct preventative maintenance/service/inspection of electrical components including light bulbs, LED lights, warning lights, wiring, connectors, housings, actuators, solar panels, switches, levers, capacitors, fuses, and relays. - Inspect and maintain trailer support structures including frames, axles, hubs, bearing cups, bearing assemblies, tires (including bolts/nuts), leaf springs/suspension, and seals. For the K-9 Hauler Trailer (Castle K-9; Model: Series 8 K-9 Express Hauler): - Inspect, repair and install a new solar charging system as needed. - Provide maintenance/service/inspection for the battery and auxiliary generator. - Inspect and maintain trailer support structures including frames, axles, hubs, bearing cups, bearing assemblies, tires (including bolts/nuts), leaf springs/suspension, and seals.
