The NPS aims to maintain and improve infrastructure within the park to ensure safety and operational efficiency. The contract will be a firm fixed price construction contract, with the goal of enhancing the propane distribution system in the administration/housing area near the Ben Reifel Visitor Center. Work Details The work includes: - removal of existing propane piping; - construction of approximately 3,080 linear feet (LF) of new propane distribution piping; - installation of 1,980 LF of propane service piping; - installation of 330 LF of piping via horizontal directional drilling; - installation of shutoff valves; - cleanout of two culverts; - channel excavation totaling 560 cubic yards (CY) to be disposed at a park-provided soil waste disposal site; - provision of 285 CY of haul-on material for constructing an earthen berm. Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and must complete all work within 90 calendar days from the notice to proceed.
