The contract will be awarded as a multi-vendor agreement to address staffing shortages that arise unexpectedly. Work Details The contractor will provide emergency temporary nursing services including: 1. Registered Nurses (RN) - Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, assessing patient needs, administering medications, and participating in emergency drills. 2. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) - Duties involve providing nursing care under supervision, collecting assessment data, and assisting in patient treatment. 3. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) - Tasks include assisting residents with personal hygiene, monitoring vital signs, and supporting residents during activities. 4. Certified Medication Aides (CMA) - Responsibilities include administering medications under supervision and assisting with personal care tasks. Period of Performance The initial term of the contract is anticipated to be from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028. The Commonwealth reserves the right to renew the contract for up to two additional two-year periods. Place of Performance Services will be performed at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center located at 100 Veterans Drive, Wilmore, KY 40390. Bidder Requirements Bidders must maintain Certificates of Liability Insurance during the contract period and provide proof of registration with the Secretary of State in Kentucky. They must also submit a current copy of medical malpractice insurance and proof of a national background check for employees assigned to THVC. Additionally, bidders should have a pool of qualified RN, LPN, CMA, and CNA staff available within a sixty-mile radius of THVC.
