This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial construction prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution-Williamsburg, Salters, South Carolina intends to issue solicitation 15BBNF26Q00000033 for the requirements of: Install Foundation Drain. The contract type is a firm-fixed price. The Government reserves the right upon award to make formal single or multiple awards. The Government will award to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, that are considered to be the most advantageous to the Government. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be posted to the System for Award Management (SAM) https://sam.gov. Background The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is issuing a solicitation for the installation of a foundation drain at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Loretto, Pennsylvania. The goal of this contract is to provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals to complete the installation as part of Project #26Z2AT1. This project aims to enhance the facility's infrastructure and ensure compliance with various safety and environmental standards. Work Details The contractor shall be responsible for the following tasks: - Excavating approximately 25 feet of foundation drainage and 20 feet of solid drainage piping adjacent to the exterior of the Training Center. - Excavating a trench that is approximately 2 feet wide, 3 feet deep, and 25 feet long along the side of the Training Center. - Removing excavated spoils to an outside location and replacing them with clean stone. - Cleaning and preparing the wall and applying a waterproofing system per manufacturer specifications. - Installing Geotech fabric, perforated drainage piping, and clean stone to serve as a foundation drain. - Excavating an additional 55 feet to connect the newly installed foundation drain to the existing downspout. - Restoring the work area with mulch and seed. The contractor must comply with BOP Technical Design Guidelines, seismic zone requirements, environmental compliance, Life Safety codes, NFPA standards, ADA-ABA regulations, and all applicable Federal, State, and Local codes.
