Background The Town of Wareham, represented by the Wareham Town Administrators Office, is seeking sealed bids for sidewalk improvements at Onset Pier, West Boulevard, and enhancements to the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell in Onset, MA. The project aims to improve public infrastructure and accessibility in these areas. Work Details 1. Sidewalk Improvements at Onset Pier: The scope includes new cast-in-place concrete sidewalks, new crosswalk markings, removal of existing asphalt and pavers, salvaged bench seating on a new concrete pad, new drainage infrastructure, protection of existing trees to remain, and landscape restoration with new plantings as required by contract drawings. 2. West Boulevard Sidewalk Improvements: This includes new cast-in-place concrete sidewalks, new pavement markings, removal and reinstallation of pavers, granite and concrete curbing, tree removal, landscape restoration and other elements as required by contract drawings. 3. Improvements to the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell: This involves new cast-in-place concrete walkways, removal and replacement of bench seating (including accessible seating), a new ramp and handrail, removal/regrading/reinstallation of unit paver plaza, installation of new lighting bollards, protection of existing trees to remain, landscape restoration and other elements as required by contract drawings. Period of Performance The work for the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell must be completed by June 30, 2026. Place of Performance The contract will be performed in Onset, Massachusetts. Bidder Requirements Contractors must have MassDOT prequalification for the class of work as Highway – Sidewalk and Curbing. Bidding procedures will follow Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30 Section 39M.
