Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades Construction project at the Waco, TX Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The goal of this contract is to upgrade the facility infrastructure to support the new EHRM system, ensuring that the VA can effectively modernize its health record systems to improve patient care and operational efficiency. Work Details The scope of work includes general construction, alterations, grading, drainage, and necessary removal of existing materials. Specific tasks include: - Electrical panel upgrades - Power supply enhancements (normal and emergency) - Bonding and UPS installation - Building management system interfaces - Assessments and upgrades to existing HVAC systems - Reconfiguration and renovation of existing spaces (including demolition and new construction) - Communication infrastructure improvements (such as new data outlets and patch panels with upgrades to Cat 6A cable) - Physical security upgrades - Assessment and upgrade of fiber infrastructure campus-wide - Hazardous material abatement. The project will take place across multiple buildings within the Waco VAMC campus including Buildings 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 15, 16, 18, 24, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 00, 189, 202, 219, 221, 224, 225, and site. All work must adhere to attached specifications and drawings. Period of Performance The entire project must be completed no later than 730 calendar days after the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed.
