Background The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 Laboratory (R7 Lab), located in the Science and Technology Center (STC), provides chemical and molecular biology analytical services to analyze environmental samples from air, water, soil, and tissue. The laboratory utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to ensure timely analyses that meet regulatory requirements. Maintaining equipment is crucial for the lab's ISO17025:2017 accreditation and for supporting criminal investigations that require high data scrutiny. Work Details The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, replacement parts, consumables, travel, materials, equipment, services, and facilities required to perform maintenance and calibration services for various laboratory equipment. This includes up to 70 single-channel pipettes, 6 multi-channel pipettes, 35 weights, 8 weight sets (including up to 131 weights), 30 balances, and 3 thermometers. The contractor must ensure that personnel possess current certifications from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) as required and maintain proper skill levels through ongoing training. Preventive maintenance/calibration services can only be initiated by authorized personnel including the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or Technical Point of Contact. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over multiple option periods starting from April 2, 2027, through April 1, 2031. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the US EPA Region 7 Laboratory located at 11201 Renner Blvd., Lenexa, KS.
