Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is seeking to acquire septic pumping services for the Sandy Lake, Pokegama, and Winnibigoshish Recreation Areas. The contract aims to ensure proper sanitation and maintenance of facilities within these recreational areas, which are vital for public use and enjoyment. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, fuel, and equipment necessary to perform sanitary pumping services at the specified locations. The contract includes a one-year base period with four optional one-year extensions. Services will be required at the following frequencies: During peak season (May - October), services will be as follows: - Pokegama Recreation Area: Once Weekly - Winnibigoshish Recreation Area: Once Weekly - Sandy Lake Recreation Area: Twice Weekly During the off-season (November - April), services will be on an as-needed basis at the Sandy Lake location only. The contractor must respond to non-scheduled service requests within 24 hours during business hours. Specific septic tank capacities include various holding tanks across the recreation areas, such as 4,000-gallon dump station tanks and multiple vault toilet holding tanks. Period of Performance The contract consists of a one-year base period from March 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027, with four subsequent one-year option periods extending through February 28, 2031. Place of Performance The services will be performed at three locations in Minnesota: Sandy Lake Recreation Area (12 miles north of McGregor), Pokegama Recreation Area (two miles west of Grand Rapids), and Winnibigoshish Recreation Area (15 miles northwest of Deer River).
