Background The Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) and ancillary equipment. The goal of this contract is to acquire a new CNC HMC that meets specific operational requirements, enhancing the depot's machining capabilities. Work Details The contract involves the delivery of one (1) Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) with the following specifications: - The machine must be a new model from the manufacturer, featuring a cast or molded frame (not welded steel). - Operational modes: manual jog, semi-automatic, and fully automatic cycles. - Programming: Must use standard ISO programming format for CNC tools. - Included software and hardware necessary for operation from the control panel. - Control features: Basic level Question and Answer with Graphics conversational assist programming for basic machining. - Compatibility with off-line programming systems. - Precision components: Linear guide ways, spindle bearings. - Cooling systems: Flood coolant system and through spindle coolant system. - Additional features: Work light, full enclosure, spare parts list, maintenance and instruction manuals, standard set of wrenches and keys for the CNC HMC and accessories. - Accessibility: All parts subject to wear, breakage, or distortion must be accessible for adjustment, replacement, and repair.
