Background The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking competitive bids to establish an Agency Specific Term Contract for the procurement of Optical Materials. This contract will support the NC Department of Adult Correction's Nash Optical Plant, which provides offenders with skills while manufacturing eyeglasses for offenders, Medicaid patients, and state employees throughout North Carolina. The goal is to ensure a reliable supply of optical materials on an as-needed basis. Work Details The contract entails the furnishing and delivery of various optical materials including but not limited to: 1. Lap Master2, Reg. Foam Lap 2. Lap Master 3 Hi - Diopter Foam Lap 3. Test Cut Disks 4. Standard Pin Wax Blocks / Surface Blocks (various bases) 5. Free Bond 6. 12 Flute Cutter Balls 7. Foam Adapters for SL2 and SGX 8. TX 1009 Alpha Wipes 9. Freewash 640z/4 Case 10. Foam Free 16 oz 11. Versatool XRL. All products must be delivered Free-On-Board (FOB) Destination to the Nash Optical Plant located at 2869 US Highway 64A, Nashville, NC 27856 within 5-7 business days after receipt of order. Period of Performance The initial term of the contract is three (3) years, starting from May 25, 2026, or the execution date, whichever is later. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the Nash Optical Plant located at 2869 US Highway 64A, Nashville, NC 27856, United States. Bidder Requirements Vendors must be registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State and provide evidence of such registration within ten business days upon notification of award. Vendors must also certify financial stability by completing Attachment G: Certification of Financial Condition and comply with HUB participation requirements by completing Attachment D: HUB Supplemental Vendor Information.
