Background The County of San Diego is seeking quotations from qualified firms to provide thirteen (13) 2026 or newer/unused Ford Explorer Model Active 100A vehicles with outfitting. This request is reserved for local businesses as per the Board of Supervisors Minute Order dated January 28, 2025. The County's mission includes ensuring that local businesses have the opportunity to participate in government contracts. Work Details The contractor will provide a total of thirteen (13) Ford Explorer Model Active 100A vehicles with the following specifications: 1. Base Vehicle Requirements: - Quantity: 13 - Exterior Color: Oxford White - Powertrain: 2.3L Eco Boost - Drivetrain: RWD - Transmission: Automatic - Interior Color: Dark Space Gray - Floor Liners: Front and rear (without carpet mats) - Emissions: Must conform to Federal and California emissions standards. - Keys: Four complete sets of keys/fobs for each unit, all programmed and ready for use. 2. Outfitting Requirements: - Tinting: Front windows at 20%, rear glass at 5%. - Storage Box: Boss Strong Box model 7126-7634. 3. Other Requirements: - Vehicles must be registered in California and provided with temporary license plates as per California law. - The contractor must provide status updates to the Fleet Services Acquisitions Team at specified intervals after receiving the purchase order. - Price must be honored throughout the contract duration. 4. Delivery Requirements: - Delivery must occur no later than 180 days after receipt of purchase order, with prior notice required for delivery attempts. Period of Performance The contract period will commence upon execution and will continue until all vehicles are delivered and accepted by the County, with a maximum delivery timeframe of 180 days from the purchase order receipt.
