Native Seeds for HILL AFB UT-UTAH

This is a requirement for native seeds (36,000 lbs) that originate within an approximate 3 hour drive of Hill AFB in Utah. Delivery and billing must be complete by April 15, 2026 due to expiring funds. Submit questions to Robert_Sung@fws.gov Vendor needs to provide a statement that they understand the standard for native seeds as defined in the SOW and provide the location of the origins of the seed.

Posted: Feb. 26, 2026, 11:54 a.m. EST Native Seeds for HILL AFB UT-UTAH This is a requirement for native seeds (36,000 lbs) that must be collected from the Great Basin north of I -70 or Snake River Plain, unless they are specific varieties of Alfalfa, Small Burnet, Yellow Sweet Clover, Forage Kochia and Blue Flax that are known to be adapted to Box Elder County Utah. All Grasses must be known varieties that are adapted to Box Elder Conty Utah. Delivery and billing must be complete by April 15, 2026 due to expiring funds. UPDATED SOW ITEMS: 1. Replace the requirement for seed origination from 3 hours drive of Hill AFB to "Native Shrub and Forb seed must be collected from the Great Basin north of I -70 or Snake River Plain, unless they are specific varieties of Alfalfa, Small Burnet, Yellow Sweet Clover, Forage Kochia and Blue Flax that are known to be adapted to Box Elder County Utah. All Grasses must be known varieties that are adapted to Box Elder Conty Utah." 2. Update requirements for filler material used to improve flow through a broadcast seeder to be "an inert filler such as cracked corn or wheat". Submit questions to Robert_Sung@fws.gov Vendor needs to provide a statement that they understand the standard for native seeds as defined in the SOW and provide the location of the origins of the seed. RFI Q&A: Q1: What's the terrain like? Is it rocky? Is there vegetation there now? Are there steep slopes? A1: The terrain is rocky. Some vegetation, but mostly burned. Not steep slopes. Q2: Do we provide the equipment? A2: Only seed needs to be provided, not equipment. Q3: What is the seed mix? We know there was seed shown, but there wasn't a seed mix with percentages of seed per pound. A3: The seed mix could vary, but needs to be appropriate for the cold desert location provided.
