Background The City of San Antonio, through its Parks Department, is issuing a formal invitation for bids (IFB) for the 2026 Task Order Contract for Labor and Materials for Plexipave. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary labor and materials for the installation and maintenance of Plexipave surfaces used in various recreational facilities. The estimated construction cost for this contract is $1,200,000.00. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing labor and materials necessary for the installation of Plexipave surfaces. This includes but is not limited to: preparing the site, applying the Plexipave material, ensuring proper curing and finishing of the surface, and any additional tasks required to complete the project as specified in the bid documents. The contract operates on a unit price basis, meaning that unit prices established will remain valid throughout the duration of the contract. The quantities provided in the bid are estimates for budgetary purposes only, and the City may order all, some, or none of the work shown in this IFB. Period of Performance The work is to be substantially completed within 1095 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Place of Performance The work will be performed at various locations within San Antonio as designated by the City. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with Small Business Economic Development Advocacy (SBEDA) Program requirements and meet subcontracting obligations as outlined in SBEDA Guidelines Provisions. Bidders must also register with the San Antonio E-Procurement System (SAePS) to determine SBEDA eligibility. Additionally, bidders must submit required documents including a Bid Bond, TEC Form 1295 Certification Number & Date, Local Preference Program Identification Form, VOSB Program Tracking Form, and Heat Illness Prevention Acknowledgement Form.
