THIS IS A SOLICITATION ONLY; REQUIREMENTS WILL BE PUBLISHED AS AN ATTACHMENT TO THE SOLICIATION, WHICH WILL BE PUBLISHED AS PRESCRIBED BELOW. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to issue a solicitation 15B41426Q00000003 for the requirements of Quarterly Subsistence/Spices/Kosher/Meat. The contractor shall adhere to the delivery schedule established in the solicitation. Estimated delivery date will be on or about, April 01, 2026 (see Delivery Schedule and Delivery Information Clauses). Deliveries will be made to the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 West Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri, 65807. The Government reserves the right upon award to make a formal single or multiple awards. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 311999. The solicitation is restricted to 100% small business, FOB Destination, and is a firm-fixed price contract. The Government will award to the responsible contractor(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government based on price related factors and past performance per FAR 13.106-2(b)(3). Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Background The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri, is issuing a solicitation for the procurement of Quarterly Subsistence/Spices/Kosher/Meat. The goal of this contract is to ensure the provision of necessary food items that comply with federal regulations and standards for inmate dietary needs. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for delivering a variety of food items including but not limited to: - Beans (Dry and Canned): Various types including Black Beans, Black Eyed Peas, Great Northern, Kidney or Red Beans, Lentils, Pinto Beans, and Split Peas. - Rice: Long Grain Milled Rice (Parboiled Light) and Brown Rice. - Pasta: Including Macaroni (Elbow Form), Lasagna Noodles, Rotini, Penne, Spaghetti, and Enriched Egg Noodles. - Corn Meal, Corn Starch, Flour (All Purpose), Non-Fat Dry Milk. - Cereal: Ready to Eat varieties including Wheat Bran Flakes and Corn Flakes. - Chips: Potato Chips in various flavors. - Peanut Butter: Regular or Reduced Fat in bulk or individual packets. - Soy Protein Products: Including Tofu and Hummus. - Shortening and Oils: General purpose shortening and liquid shortening for cooking. - Dairy Products: Including various types of cheese and milk products. - Fresh Fruits and Vegetables: Including Apples, Bananas, Grapefruits, Oranges, Potatoes, Carrots, etc. Each item must meet specific federal standards regarding preparation, packaging, labeling, storage, distribution, and sale.
