Background This solicitation is issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the Kenai Lake Work Center Storage and Security project. The purpose of this contract is to construct a pole barn building and related infrastructure improvements at the Kenai Lake Work Center, which supports the agency's mission to manage natural resources and provide public services. The project aims to enhance storage capabilities and security at the facility, located in Seward, Alaska. Work Details The contract includes base items and option items as follows: Base Items: 1. Grading the existing storage yard area for stormwater drainage improvements in the vicinity of the pole barn area. 2. Installation of all dry utilities to the new pole barn building. 3. Construction of the new pole barn building per the construction plans and specifications. Option Items: 1. Relocation of Seward Electric’s transformer as shown on Drawing E1.1 of the Pole Barn Plans. 2. Installing a security fence and gates around the storage yard per construction plans and specifications. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from April 21, 2026, to November 30, 2027. Place of Performance The project will be performed at the Kenai Lake Work Center (KLWC), located at Mile 24 Seward Highway, Seward AK 99664, on the west side of the highway, approximately 6 miles south of Moose Pass, Alaska, and about 23 miles north of Seward, Alaska.
