Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is issuing this solicitation for herbicide application services at the Horning Seed Orchard, Tyrrell Seed Orchard, and Sprague Seed Orchard located in Oregon. The goal of this contract is to effectively manage vegetation through targeted herbicide applications to ensure the health and productivity of these seed orchards. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Application of herbicides over designated areas, including a 9ft2 mat. 2. Conducting tank cleanout and triple rinsing after each application to ensure compliance with environmental standards. 3. Proper disposal of empty herbicide containers in accordance with local regulations. 4. Inspections during and after the application process to verify coverage and effectiveness of the herbicide application, with follow-up actions required if areas are missed or ineffective. 5. Payment will be processed within two to three weeks following completion of all tasks. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a specified timeframe that includes multiple applications as needed throughout the growing season. Place of Performance The work will be conducted at Colton, Lorane, and Sprague in Oregon.
