Background The 1st Armored Division (1AD) Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) is seeking non-personal services for the 12-year maintenance, inspection, servicing, and recharge of 56 government-owned 150lb BC (Amerex 490) fire extinguishers. These fire extinguishers are currently overdue for hydrostatic testing and certification in accordance with NFPA 10 standards. The contract aims to ensure the integrity of these critical safety devices deployed across the flight line at Biggs Army Airfield located in Fort Bliss, Texas. Work Details The contractor is required to perform the following tasks: transport the fire extinguishers from Biggs Army Airfield facilities; conduct hydrostatic testing, maintenance, recharge, valve rebuild, axle lubrication, UV spray coating, inspection, and certification of the fire extinguishers in compliance with NFPA 10 and the Amerex 490 Owners/Service Manual. Services must be completed in lots of six every three days. The contractor must also develop and implement a Quality Control Plan (QCP) that includes an inspection program to ensure all work meets required standards and a method for identifying and correcting deficiencies in service quality. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from March 2, 2026, to April 6, 2026. Place of Performance The services will be performed at Biggs Army Airfield located in Fort Bliss, Texas.
