This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0207 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to remove and replace a Mitsubishi mini split with a like 3-Ton unit, remove 4-Ton split system and replace with mini split, and replace damaged ceiling tiles, cover and seal holes from old unit. Background The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Invasive Plant Research Lab, is seeking to address issues with their current HVAC systems. The existing 3-ton and 4-ton units are malfunctioning, leading to ventilation problems that have caused water damage to the ceiling and created an unsafe work environment. This contract aims to remove and replace these units to ensure a safe and efficient working atmosphere. Work Details The contractor will perform the following tasks: - Remove and replace a Mitsubishi mini split with a like 3-ton unit; - Remove the existing 4-ton split system and replace it with a ductless mini split; - Remove old ductwork; - Replace damaged ceiling tiles; - Cover and seal holes left by the old units; - Insulate suction lines; - Redo electrical work to feed the new 4-ton unit; - Dispose of all old equipment; - Test the new units for proper operation. All work must be conducted at the USDA/ARS facility located at 3225 College Ave, Davie, FL. Period of Performance The work is expected to be completed by July 30, 2026.
