Background The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is issuing this solicitation for the Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) to address the need for re-stuccoing two residences located at the refuge. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and preservation of these structures, which are essential for operational purposes within the refuge. The project magnitude is estimated to be between $30,000 and $50,000. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary for the re-stucco of two residences at Bitter Lake NWR. This includes: 1. Surface preparation, minor crack repair, priming, and application of a synthetic, acrylic-based sanded stucco system (such as DRYVIT or STO). 2. Residence #1 has approximately 1,650 square feet of existing exterior wall area; Residence #2 has approximately 2,556 square feet. Both residences currently have a synthetic-based stucco system applied. The contractor must visit the site to assess existing conditions before submitting a proposal. The color of the stucco will be selected by the Station Manager after award. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from March 2, 2026, to April 16, 2026, with a total duration of 45 calendar days. Place of Performance The work will be performed at Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge located at 4200 East Pine Lodge Road, Roswell, NM 88201.
