Background The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) is responsible for collecting, processing, and maintaining a variety of high-resolution ocean floor mapping data. This data primarily supports Safety of Navigation (SoN) for Fleet operations but is also utilized in various products to enhance situational awareness for the Fleet. The US Navy requires additional ocean floor mapping data globally but lacks the capacity to collect this data using existing survey platforms. The goal of this contract is to enhance mission effectiveness by transitioning tasks from government-owned, manned platforms to contractor-owned long-endurance Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV). Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing ocean floor mapping services using long-endurance USVs. Key deliverables include: 1. Survey Data Deliverables: - Multibeam sonar data in raw proprietary formats, including bathymetry, seafloor backscatter, and water column backscatter. - Oceanographic profile data in raw sensor format. - GNSS observables in RINEX format. - Vessel motion/attitude data in raw proprietary format. - Collection/watchstander logs. - Report of Survey detailing mission impacts from equipment maintenance, weather influences, uncertainty calculations, vessel offsets, and calibration data. 2. Processed Data Deliverables: - Processed multibeam data (bathymetry, seafloor backscatter, and water column backscatter). - Processed oceanographic profile data. - Processed GNSS data. - Final Production Surface (Grid). - Data Processing Logs. - Detailed list of production software utilized including software versions.
