Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this contract to provide humidification monitoring and control for two storage rooms at the Rocky Mountain Regional Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center (RMRVAMC) located in Aurora, Colorado. The goal of this contract is to modify existing HVAC systems to maintain the required relative humidity levels in the Pharmacy Cache storage rooms, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to achieve the contract objective as per the provided drawings and specifications. Key tasks include: - Provide Class II dust containment of work areas as required by Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA). - Organize construction tasks to minimize downtime of air handling equipment. - Demolish and dispose of existing ductwork in the penthouse. - Replace ductwork with a steam dispersion manifold and associated stainless steel ducting. - Install low pressure steam, condensate, and drain lines with necessary valves and fittings. - Install control system components including controllers, temperature sensors, and humidity sensors. - Install electrical power wiring, control wiring, conduit, and supports. - Integrate controls with existing building automation systems (BAS), including configuration and programming. - Provide operations and maintenance training for VA personnel. - Submit redlined shop drawings for updating facility as-builts. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at the Rocky Mountain Regional Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center located at 1700 N. Wheeling St., Aurora, CO 80045.
