Background

The United States Forest Service (USFS), Intermountain Region (Region 4) intends to issue a Request for Proposal for an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for road and bridge construction and related services. The goal of the contract is to support the repair and construction of various types of roads and bridges within USFS Region 4 Forests and Grasslands. Work Details: The contract will encompass a variety of construction tasks including: 1. Repair and construction of native surface, gravel or paved roads; 2. Road decommissioning; 3. Repair and construction of bridges, culverts, and aquatic passages; 4. Installation of retaining walls; 5. Implementation of closure devices; 6. Stream grade, alignment, and scour control. Specific seed projects include: 1) Charleston Jarbidge - removal of existing bridge and installation of a corrugated metal pipe-arch culvert while maintaining public access; 2) Cove Mountain Reroute - two road reroutes, road decommissioning, reconditioning, rolling dips construction, aggregate surface placement, and culvert installation; 3) North Fritz Creek Culvert Replacement - replacing a corrugated metal pipe with a bottomless box culvert; 4) Upper Green River Corridor - road reconditioning, culvert replacement, and aggregate surfacing on a 3-mile stretch; 5) Causey Reservoir Parking Lots and Boat Ramp - reconstructing parking lots and constructing a new boat ramp. Period of Performance: The contract will consist of a base period of two years with three one-year option periods for a total potential performance duration of five years. Place of Performance: The geographic scope is limited to USFS Region 4 Forests and Grasslands.
