Background The City of Laconia Parks and Recreation Department is seeking sealed competitive bids for the provision of portable toilets. This initiative aims to enhance public facilities during various events and at designated locations throughout the city, ensuring accessibility and cleanliness for residents and visitors. Work Details The contractor will provide portable toilets at four locations: Opechee Park, Messer Street Boat Launch, Bartlett Beach, and Weirs Beach Parking Lot. The requirements include: 1. Four (4) standard units and two (2) accessible units for summer use. 2. Three (3) standard units and one (1) accessible unit for the July 4, 2026 celebration. 3. Twenty-eight (28) standard units and six (6) accessible units for the Pumpkin Festival in October 2026. 4. All portable toilets must be 'state of the art', not more than three years old, with effective odor-control features including hand sanitizer dispensers. 5. Units must be serviced weekly or as requested by the City’s representative to maintain usability. 6. Each unit must have a cleaning log documenting when it was cleaned. Period of Performance The contract will commence in May 2026 and run through October 2026, with specific service dates outlined for events such as the July 4 celebration and Pumpkin Festival. Place of Performance The services will be performed at designated locations in Laconia, New Hampshire: Opechee Park, Messer Street Boat Launch, Bartlett Beach, and Weirs Beach Parking Lot. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a Certificate of Insurance satisfactory to the City of Laconia with coverage limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million general aggregate. The City must be named as an 'Additional Insured'. Bidders are also required to comply with all applicable laws regarding workers' compensation and liability insurance.
