Background The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract for the Fargo VA Health Care System to enhance the reliability of its chilled water pumps by placing them on emergency equipment branch power. This project aims to ensure continuous operation and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. Work Details The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to place the chilled water pumps on emergency equipment branch power at the Fargo VA campus. The work includes adherence to the Statement of Work, contract documents, drawings, specifications, and compliance with federal, state, and local codes as well as NFPA requirements. Specific tasks include: 1) Providing all necessary labor and materials for the installation; 2) Ensuring minimal disruption to hospital services during construction; 3) Conducting electrical shutdowns with a three-week notification period; 4) Completing a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Worksheet prior to electrical shutdowns; 5) Following Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for all electrical work; 6) Performing work during off-hours when possible to minimize impact on hospital operations. Period of Performance The contract performance period is set for 270 calendar days from the date of award. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at the Fargo VA campus located in Fargo, North Dakota.
