Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is seeking vendors capable of providing maintenance and repair services for the Triennial Panel Survey and Assessment. The goal of this contract is to ensure the reliability and compliance of electrical panels within the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center (JBVAMC). Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform an electrical panel survey and maintenance. Key tasks include: - Updating panel schedules for approximately 248 electrical panels; - Tracing circuits and identifying corresponding circuit breakers; - Certifying panels for compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC); - Investigating hard-wired electrical systems; - Labeling electrical conduits; - Identifying power sources and unlabeled circuit breakers; - Conducting tri-annual electrical tests and maintenance on various electrical components including switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, grounding systems, and motor controls; - Performing light maintenance such as infrared scanning to detect hot spots; - Providing detailed reports on inspections and testing results; - Conducting transformer testing including visual inspections and liquid analysis to monitor equipment condition.
