Background The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to install automatic door closures for the Operating Room (OR) and Prosthetics main entryway at the East Orange VA Medical Center. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and functionality within the facility, aligning with the agency's mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans. Work Details The contractor is responsible for providing all labor and materials necessary for the installation of automatic door closures. The specific requirements include: - Installation of OR automatic door closure and Prosthetics auto door closure, both equipped with wave plates. - Installation locations: - OR doors located at Building 1, Floor 2, C Wing. - Prosthetics door located at Building 1, Floor A, A-700. - The operators must be compatible with existing automatic doors. - Parts to be installed are specified under contract and cannot be substituted. - Upon completion, a written work report detailing completed tasks, corrective actions taken, parts used, and recommendations for prolonging the useful life of each door must be provided within five days of project completion. Specific products include: - OR Installation: ED100 - Narrow 4"× 6" Header Surface Applied Pair. - Prosthetics Installation: ED100 - Narrow 4"× 6" Header Surface Applied Single. All personnel involved in the project must be certified as AAADM Certified Swing/Slide/Fold Automatic Pedestrian Door Inspectors. Period of Performance The contractor shall complete the work required under this SOW in 14 calendar days or less from the date of award.
