Background The National Cemetery Administration is issuing a solicitation for well water testing services at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (NMCA) located in Phoenix. The NMCA utilizes well water for irrigation and facility operations, and regular testing is required to ensure compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards and Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) regulations. The contractor will be responsible for submitting accurate testing samples to ADEQ certified laboratories and reporting findings to AZDEQ, which is essential for public health and environmental stewardship. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to perform water quality testing and reporting in accordance with state and federal regulations. Specific tasks include: 1. Monthly Sampling and Testing: - Collect water samples from designated well points according to ADEQ methods. - Test for total coliform bacteria, residual chlorine, and other relevant parameters as per Arizona guidelines. - For positive results from Total Coliform Bacteria testing, complete four repeat samples within 24 hours. - Submit collected samples for microbiological testing using an ADEQ-certified laboratory. - Forward laboratory reports to the cemetery for public posting within 5 business days of collection. 2. Annual Comprehensive Panel: Conduct comprehensive water quality sampling that includes microbiological, inorganic, organic, and physical parameters as specified by ADEQ/EPA. The contractor must comply with current and future ADEQ requirements. Period of Performance The contract will have a twelve-month base year plus four (4) twelve-month option years if exercised.
