Background Oakland University (OU) is a public, doctoral research institution located in Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills, Michigan. Founded in 1957, OU serves approximately 16,000 students across various undergraduate and graduate programs. The university's Communications and Marketing (UCM) department is seeking proposals for freelance videography services to support video production needs across campus and the greater Metro Detroit area. Work Details The selected vendor will provide a range of video production services, including: - Raw video footage and audio files - Finished video and audio edits - Motion graphics and sound design elements (music/SFX) All associated project files must be consolidated and turned over to UCM upon completion. Vendors must adhere to quoted rates for all project work, which may include one or multiple components of production. Final videos will be used across OU’s marketing platforms. The vendor must work collaboratively with the UCM Creative Media Team and obtain approval from the Senior Producer before starting any project. Period of Performance The contract will be for one year, with the possibility of up to three optional one-year renewals. Place of Performance Services will be performed on Oakland University’s Rochester, MI campus and within the greater Metro Detroit area. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide evidence of relevant experience in higher education videography, including a portfolio or sample videos. They must also submit a detailed pricing proposal that includes itemized costs for various services such as cinematography, video editing, motion graphics, and music licensing. Additionally, bidders are required to meet specific insurance requirements as outlined in Schedule B of the RFP.
