MAJOR REPAIRS TO BOILER PLANT, PSN 21590583 Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to renovate and provide new kitchenette, toilet, shower and locker room facilities in the Boiler Plant and option bid work at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Work includes removal of the existing kitchen cabinets, toilet fixtures and portions of existing concrete floor slab for new work. Prepare selected existing walls and provide waterproofing. Provide new walls, doors, frames, hardware, ceilings, finishes, toilet accessories, lighting, plumbing, HVAC and electrical to support all new work. There are four (4) option items; Option 1: Highland Tank Containment Area Renovations; Option 2: Exterior Brick Masonry and Lintel Renovations; Option 3: Exterior Stair, Wall, and Paving Renovations; and Option 4: Force Sewer Main Relocation. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Specifications for PSN 21590583 (612 pages), Drawings CC-1369 (27 sheets), and the applicable wage rates incorporated herein. THIS REQUIREMENT HAS A PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE FROM 6/1/2026 WITH A COMPLETION DATE NOT LATER THAN 6/1/2027.
Background The U.S. Coast Guard Academy is issuing this contract for major repairs to the Boiler Plant, specifically aimed at renovating and providing new kitchenette, toilet, shower, and locker room facilities. The goal of this contract is to enhance the functionality and safety of the Boiler Plant facilities in alignment with the Academy's mission. Work Details The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following tasks: - Renovation of kitchenette, toilet, shower, and locker room facilities; - Removal of existing kitchen cabinets and toilet fixtures; - Demolition of portions of existing concrete floor slab; - Preparation of selected existing walls with waterproofing; - Installation of new walls, doors, frames, hardware, ceilings, finishes, toilet accessories, lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, and electrical work to support all new installations. Additionally, there are four option items for bid: - Option 1 involves renovations to the Highland Tank Containment Area; - Option 2 covers exterior brick masonry and lintel renovations; - Option 3 pertains to exterior stair, wall, and paving renovations; - Option 4 addresses force sewer main relocation.
