Background The Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration (NCA) is planning to solicit offers for Grounds Maintenance Services (GMS) for the Los Angeles National Cemetery. The agency has conducted market research that supports the consolidation of this procurement, which is deemed necessary and justified. This contract aims to provide comprehensive grounds maintenance services to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic quality of the cemetery, which serves veterans and their families. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for full Grounds Maintenance Services (GMS), which include but are not limited to: headstone maintenance, turf maintenance, mowing, trimming, edging, power washing, irrigation system management/maintenance, drainage system maintenance, tree and shrub pruning, and gravesite maintenance. The contract will consolidate services previously provided under two separate contracts due to a cemetery expansion project completed in 2020. The new contract will cover both the Historic cemetery and the Columbarium section under one firm-fixed price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over one base year with four one-year options following the base year.
