Background The State of Illinois, through the Commission on Equity and Inclusion, is seeking to establish a Joint Purchase Master Contract (JPMC) for Translation & Interpretation Services. Specific services include: - On-site interpretation for meetings, conferences, and public events. - Telephonic interpretation services available 24/7. - Document translation services for written materials into multiple languages. - Provision of qualified interpreters who are certified and experienced in various fields such as legal, medical, and educational settings. - Compliance with all relevant regulations regarding accessibility and non-discrimination in service delivery. Period of Performance The contract will be effective for a period of three years from the date of award, with options for renewal based on performance evaluations and continued need for services. Place of Performance Services will be performed throughout the State of Illinois, with specific locations determined by the needs of various state agencies requiring translation and interpretation support. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be certified as Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE), or Persons with Disabilities-Owned Business Enterprises (PBE) under the Illinois Business Enterprise Program (BEP). Additionally, bidders must demonstrate Good Faith Efforts (GFE) to meet participation goals set forth in the solicitation documents. All subcontractors utilized must also be BEP certified in relevant NIGP Codes identified in the solicitation.
