Background The Fort Simcoe Job Corps Center, located approximately 9 miles from White Swan, WA in Yakima County, is undertaking a water system renovation project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the water supply infrastructure at the center, which serves as a Civilian Conservation Center. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, and necessary licenses to complete the following tasks: 1. Construct a new 6-inch water main through open excavation. 2. Remove and replace existing fire hydrants and install new fire hydrant assemblies. 3. Install gate valves for water main isolation. 4. Upgrade potable water reservoir and well instrumentation. 5. Upgrade three wells and replace service connections to buildings on campus. 6. Reconnect irrigation piping and replace backflow devices. Period of Performance The construction must be completed within 180 days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
