Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of the fire protection system at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park (HAVO). The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with safety standards and enhance the fire protection capabilities of the Volcano House facility. This project is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-Aside Invitation for Bid (IFB), with a firm-fixed price contract anticipated upon award. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for all tasks related to the replacement of the fire protection system at the Volcano House, including but not limited to: - Removal of existing fire protection systems and components. - Installation of new fire protection systems in accordance with specifications. - Ensuring all work complies with applicable codes and regulations. - Conducting tests and inspections to verify system functionality. - Final cleanup of the work area post-installation. All work must adhere strictly to the provided specifications outlined in the Statement of Work. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from April 1, 2026, to October 1, 2026, with a requirement for the contractor to commence work within 7 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed and complete all work within 180 calendar days. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, specifically at the Volcano House located at 1877 Volcano House, Hawaii National Park, HI.
