Background The 103rd Airlift Wing of the Connecticut Air National Guard is seeking contractor services for the restoration and preservation of one C-130 and one A-10 static display aircraft located at Bradley Air National Guard Base in East Granby, CT. The goal of this contract is to ensure the aircraft are maintained in a condition that reflects their historical significance. Work Details The scope of work includes sheet metal repair, corrosion control, surface preparation, bird proofing, and application of a high-quality polyurethane heritage paint scheme. The contractor must provide all necessary supplies, materials, tools, support equipment, labor, and vehicles required to perform all operations as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Specific tasks include: - Compliance with environmental regulations including OSHA and EPA guidelines during outdoor preparation and painting. - Use of safety equipment that meets OSHA standards. - Supervision by a designated contractor representative who will coordinate with the Government Point of Contact (POC) before and after work. - Work must be performed during normal duty hours (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) with additional time coordinated with the 103rd POC. - A 24-hour notice prior to work completion for inspection by the 103rd POC. - Responsibility for any damage to surrounding vegetation or property during work.
