Background The City of Buckeye is seeking to establish Job Order Contracts (JOC) for Traffic Signal and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Construction Services. The goal is to select up to three contractors who can provide these services for various projects within the city. This initiative aims to enhance the city's traffic management infrastructure and ensure compliance with ADA standards for pedestrian access. Work Details Contractors will be responsible for repairs and construction of traffic signal components, installation of ITS conduit and micro-fiber, splicing micro-fiber for connectivity, and modifications or installations of pedestrian ramps. Specific tasks include: - Providing all labor, materials, equipment, administrative services, blue staking, and permits necessary for installing new foundations, conduits, and junction boxes for traffic signals and street lighting. - Conducting excavation in various soil conditions, potentially using water or air vacuum methods. - Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and local regulations. - Completing projects within a budget not exceeding $1 million per Delivery Order, with a maximum cap of $2 million for any single project. - All work must adhere to the Maricopa Association of Governments’ specifications and City standards. Period of Performance The contract will have an initial term of two years with the possibility of three one-year extensions. Work will be executed through individual Job Orders initiated by the City as needed. Place of Performance All work will be conducted within the geographic limits of the City of Buckeye, Arizona. Bidder Requirements Contractors must possess necessary licenses to operate in Arizona and provide performance and payment bonds as required by each Delivery Order. They should also have a Level 2 IMSA Certified Electrician on-site during construction. Additionally, contractors must comply with federal immigration laws as per A.R.S. § 41-4401.
