Background The County of Bergen, NJ aims to establish a twenty-four (24) month contract starting on or about June 5, 2026, through June 4, 2028, with an option for one (1) twelve (12) month renewal. This contract will involve multiple catalog vendors for the provision of Firefighting Equipment and Rescue Tools along with related supplies and accessories. The awarded vendor contracts will be accessible to all members of the New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Alliance during the contract term. Work Details The contract encompasses the provision of various firefighting equipment, tools, supplies, and accessories necessary for all types of fire and rescue services. Specific items include: 1. Firefighting water flow equipment (hoses, adaptors, monitors, nozzles, valves). 2. Fire pumps (skid units, portable pumps). 3. Suppression agents (foam, dry chemicals). 4. Rescue tools (forcible entry tools, thermal imaging equipment). 5. Extraction tools (sledges, rams, cutters). 6. Technical rescue equipment (cribbing, rope). 7. Ice and water rescue equipment. 8. Ladders (ground, extension). 9. Lighting equipment. 10. Hazardous material equipment. 11. Wildland firefighting tools. 12. Personal Alert Safety Systems (PASS) and Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). 13. Basic emergency medical supplies. 14. Related tools and accessories. Services related to these items include training, testing, maintenance or repair, installation and warranty programs. Period of Performance The initial term is twenty-four (24) months from the date of award or mutually agreed commencement date with an option for one twelve-month renewal. Place of Performance The contract will be performed in Bergen County, NJ. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17-27 et seq., as well as the Prevailing Wage Act requirements under N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.37 and 34:11-56.38. Bidders are encouraged to register on the Bergen County Purchasing portal and must upload a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate along with any relevant certifications as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE), or Small Business Enterprise (SBE).
