Background

The project is initiated by the Western Federal Lands Highway Division, which aims to improve access to the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area (LARO) in Lincoln County, Washington. The Hawk Creek Road Improvements and Stabilization project focuses on enhancing the roadway infrastructure to support recreational access and ensure safety for low-volume traffic. Work Details

The scope of work includes: - Reconstructing Hawk Creek Road with a 24-foot wide paved driving surface; - Improving substandard horizontal and vertical roadway geometry to meet minimum standards for low-volume roads; - Upgrading drainage facilities; - Installing guardrail; - Constructing soil nail retaining walls; - Stabilizing banks. The project will cover a length of approximately 0.68 miles, starting from the intersection of Miles Creston Road and Hawk Creek Road heading eastward.

Period of Performance

The tentative fixed completion date for the contract is set for Summer/Fall 2025.
